Muhammad Toseef

I am a final-year PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong, supervised by Prof. Ka-Chun Wong. From December 2023 to June 2024, I was a visiting PhD student in the Hemberg Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, under the supervision of Prof. Martin Hemberg.

Prior to that, I recieved BEng and MS in Software Engineering from the University of Bradford and South China University of Technology, respectively.

Research Interests

My research interests span Transfer Learning, Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology, and Data Science. My recent research focuses on topics such as large language models (LLMs) and multimodal models (MMLMs) to genomics and clinical data.

I am particularly interested in exploring electronic health records (EHRs) using large language models and transfer learning approaches, with the goal of developing interpretable, scalable, and generalizable models that can support clinical decision-making across diverse patient populations.
